The Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram Samuel Nartey George has rubbished claims making rounds that he allegedly said, he will not give his money to Hearts of Oak, for it to be used for “Juju” but rather, each year he contributes a 1000 dollars to Arsenal as a fan.
Addressing the issue on Good Morning Ghana, Sam George denied any knowledge of such comments. He moved quickly to proclaim is unending love for the club.
The MP however, reiterates that, he would not be making any payment to Hearts of Oak, even though he is a staunch fan. He said the inability of the club to provide a proper accounting for the where about of funds each year is his reason for none payment.
Mr. Sam George said the he will not paying his money for someone to come and tell him 80% of the funds is been used for “ways and means”. He quizzed ”which ways and means”.
The Ningo Prampram MP, praised Arsenal for the meticulous ways of handling it finances of the club and how they inform their fans on how their money is been spent each year. This he said gives him the comfort to make payments every year. He added that, he does not need to know any board member at Arsenal before he can make any payment, he said “I just have to go on their website and everything is there for me to register”.
